Jerry A. Williams

Besides his estate and business planning, the firm’s tax law expert, Jerry Williams, works closely with each attorney at SGW&M to help clients minimize the tax implications of legal issues ranging from business start-up and real estate purchases to divorce.

A former attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, Williams has an in-depth understanding of the ever-changing tax code. He listens intently to clients and works to protect their assets in business transactions, bankruptcy filings, and through estate planning that not only avoids unnecessary taxation, but also reflects clients’ long-term goals and values.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Gainesville Rotary Club and served for many years as a board member for Gainesville Independent Schools where he has served as Treasurer and attorney for Lakeview Academy.
