M. Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith's practice includes business law and litigation, working to meet the diverse needs of commercial clients. Mr. Smith has extensive experience in commercial and real estate litigation as well as commercial real estate transactions. He is regularly involved in condemnation/eminent domain litigation. He works to seek realistic, reasonable, and cost-effective resolution for clients in contract, shareholder, employment, and property disputes.

Mr. Smith also assists clients in business formation and organization, including the preparation of business agreements such as confidentiality and shareholder agreements, as well as employment agreements.

In May 2001, Mr. Smith was appointed by Governor Roy Barnes to the Lake Sidney Lanier Watershed Governance Council. As Chair until 2005, he helped select the team of state and local representatives who work to achieve and maintain the water quality of Lake Sidney Lanier.

Mr. Smith is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2007, having previously served as Co-Chair of the Leadership Hall County Planning Committee in 1998-1999. He served on the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Advisory Board from 1996-2004, and has served as Chair of the Brenau University Advisory Board. A strong supporter of scouting, Mr. Smith has served on the Boy Scouts of America Northeast Georgia Council's Board of Directors since 1996.
