Mr. Hatcher's primary practice areas include general civil litigation, commercial and business litigation, real property litigation, appellate litigation and personal injury. Mr. Hatcher's commercial litigation practice includes representation of both individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters, including contractual disputes, economic torts and trade secret misappropriation.

Formerly with the Atlanta firm of Powell Goldstein, LLP, Mr. Hatcher joined Smith, Gilliam, Williams & Miles in 2004. While at Powell Goldstein, Mr. Hatcher was a member of the firm's business litigation and intellectual property litigation groups. While at that firm, Mr. Hatcher represented both regional companies and national conglomerates in state and federal courts. Mr. Hatcher has also represented information technology and software companies in various intellectual property disputes.

Mr. Hatcher currently represents individuals and business entities (both local and national) in commercial and business litigation matters. Additionally, Mr. Hatcher's practice also includes appellate work in both state and federal courts of appeals. Mr. Hatcher has been voted by Atlanta Magazine as a "Super Lawyer Rising Star."

Mr. Hatcher is active in various bar and civic organizations. He is a member of the Litigation Committee of the Younger Lawyers' Division of the State Bar, as well as a member of that division's Intrastate Moot Court Competition Committee. Mr. Hatcher is a trustee of the Gainesville State College Foundation and is active with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hatcher is a member of the 2005 - 2006 Class of Leadership Hall County, and has served on the Planning Committee of Leadership Hall County.
