In a Gainesville Times interview series, attorney Steve Gilliam explains how a committee of community leaders brought the 1996 Olympic games to Lake Lanier.  The committee, Gainesville/Hall County ’96 Roundtable, played a vital role in forming Lake Lanier Olympic Park which still exists today as the only surviving 1996 Atlanta Olympic games venue.
